NOTE:  PCR is right.  What are the limits of authority?  If it doesn't end with "God" or whatever word you wish to use to express this idea - it will end here on earth - with the power-hungry - the selfish - the greedy - the self-important self-absorbed control freaks.  And it has.  Look around you.

The younger generation has been raised to reject the concept of a creator - and in doing so - as PCR points out so eloquently - regardless of whether or not they believe in such an idea - are sacrificing the valuable appeal to higher authority that keeps us all equal.

If I weren't a grown-up - I'd find this whole situation funny - since the younger generation aids their own demise.  There is nothing funny about it.
